Classes for Men
IMPACT has scholarships available for all classes and we also accept payment through the Massachusetts Victim’s Compensation program

Men’s Core Program
20 Hours, ages 14+
Course fee: $350
*Previously called Men’s Basics
In a supportive, non-competitive environment, students learn how to respond to the most common ways men are threatened and attacked. The course focuses on conflict de-escalation, self control, decision making, and understanding the difference between appropriate and inappropriate violence.

Teen Boys Class
8 hours, ages 14-18
Course Fee: $200
In this course students will learn the skills to de-escalate conflicts, avoid being drawn into fights, as well as verbal and physical self-defense skills. Students will also learn skills to speak up and intervene when other people’s safety is at risk.
Students learn:
Verbal de-escalation skills
How to stay calm when someone is trying to provoke them
Verbal self-defense skills
How to avoid a fight, how to keep a threat from turning into a physical fight
Physical Self-Protection
As a last resort how to protect themselves if someone physically attacks them
How to help others stay safe
What to do if someone they know is attempting to sexually or physically assault someone else

IMPACT Review Class
6 Hours, Mixed gender, for grads of Core Programs
Course Fee: $150
A chance for students who have graduated from our Core Program to review teaching pieces and practice their verbal and physical skills in realistic scenarios.

Assertiveness & Boundary Setting
8 Hours, Mixed gender, ages 14+
Course fee: $185
Many people find that the ability to set and maintain boundaries greatly enhances their sense of safety. This 8-hour all-verbal course teaches students skills for effective communication and negotiation in stressful situations. Practicing these skills in realistic scenarios, students have the opportunity to become comfortable staying calm and articulate while explaining their needs in situations involving strangers, co-workers, acquaintances, friends, family and partners.

Assertiveness & Boundary Setting Part 2
4 Hours, Graduates of Assertiveness and Boundary Setting Only
Course fee: $95
This 4-hour course begins with a review of the concepts and skills learned in the Assertiveness & Boundary Setting class, and adds strategies for dealing with the defensiveness often exhibited by people during difficult conversations. As always the emphasis is on practicing the skills learned in realistic scenarios. Assertiveness & Boundary Setting is a prerequisite.

College Bound Safety
12 Hours, Mixed gender, ages 14+
Course fee: $250
For over 20 years IMPACT has taught practical, relevant safety skills to teens across Massachusetts. As students navigate increasing independence, and face the realities of sexual violence on campus, IMPACT will give them tools to maintain their own safety and speak up to advocate for safe and healthy communities.
