De-Escalation
IMPACT De-Escalation Training teaches skills to create and maintain a safe environment when someone else is angry, threatening or disruptive.

How the training works
Instructors demonstrate realistic scenarios and model strategies for maintaining calm and safety. Scenarios are based on your group—we’ve developed customized scenarios for human services, libraries, performance venues, emergency shelters, domestic violence programs, retail environments and many others. Participants learn and practice skills with an instructor who plays the role of the escalated person. Experiential practice helps you think fast and maintain calm under stress.

Real Feedback From Real Educators
Hear from 3 people who've worked with us.
“The instructors provided excellent tools to assist staff in de-escalating clients, especially those unaware of how rapidly their anger can make us feel unsafe.”
“The most helpful part was the doing. It was eye-opening to practice being harassed and exercising the new tools I had learned while in a safe environment. Now, when this happens and I am not safe, I am confident I can either get away or protect myself.”
“They presented specific situations that were similar to our roles. I really liked role playing and trying out what they demonstrated.”
